How it works
- 1Pick the update year — each year uses the official coefficient published in the Diário da República.
- 2We multiply your rent by the coefficient and round up to the next cent (Art. 25.º NRAU).
- 3You get the maximum legal new rent plus the notice rules to apply it correctly.
How to apply the increase (Art. 1077.º Código Civil)
- Written notice by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, at least 30 days in advance.
- The letter must state the coefficient applied, the new rent and the date it takes effect.
- The rent can only be updated once a year (one year after the contract start or the last update).
